| 1. A display device comprising:
a lighting portion comprising a first substrate, a second substrate, an organic electroluminescent portion disposed on the
second substrate so as to be in contact with the second substrate and a sealing layer attaching the first and second substrate
so as to seal the organic electroluminescent portion therebetween, the organic electroluminescent portion comprising an anode
layer, an organic layer covering the anode layer, and a patterned cathode layer disposed on the organic layer and made of
a semitransparent electrode material;
a reflective liquid crystal display device attached to the first substrate and comprising a third substrate, a plurality of
reflective pixel electrodes disposed on the third substrate, a liquid crystal layer disposed over the reflective pixel electrodes
and a common electrode disposed on the liquid crystal layer, the reflective pixel electrodes being configured to receive light
emitted from the lighting portion and define a plurality of pixels; and
a light shield layer disposed between the second substrate and the anode layer and having a pattern corresponding to a pattern
of the patterned cathode layer, the light shield layer preventing light from the organic electroluminescent portion from escaping
through the second substrate.
