| 3. A projection type video display that optically modulates light emitted from a light source by a light valve and projects
an enlarged video by a projection lens, comprising:
a sensor comprising image pick-up means for picking up a projection video;
means for making focusing adjustment on the basis of an output of the sensor; and
means for making trapezoidal distortion correction on the basis of the output of the sensor, and wherein
the sensor is arranged at a position in the vicinity of the projection lens.
